Play Pro Baseball is run by Head Coach and former Professional Shortstop, Christian Lara, who focuses on the development of 8U-18U players through baseball camps, private & group instruction, team practices, and tournament play.

Through Play Pro Baseball, Coach Christian shares the same love for the game with his players, coaches, and parents that his Dad shared with him as his youth coach growing up in Venezuela.   Coach Christian thrived on that passion in his own career, developing into a promising young Shortstop in the Red Sox and Dodgers organizations, where he earned multiple Minor League honors, including two Minor League Player of the Year Awards (2004 & 2006).  It is this love for the game and wealth of knowledge that allow Coach Christian’s players to develop their own love and passion for baseball, in hopes of achieving their professional dreams.

While Play Pro Baseball teams compete to win at the highest levels, Coach Christian’s true heart always lies in the growth and development of his players. Club opportunities exist at all skill levels, from development of players as young as 6 years old, to 18 year old professional prospects.    

Play Pro Baseball operates mainly in Central-East Phoenix, AZ, holding indoor camps, practices, and private instruction at Banner Physical Therapy (Rehab Plus), 4141 E. Thomas Rd., Phoenix, AZ, 85018.

Outdoor practices and group instruction have been traditionally held at Madison Park Baseball Fields, 1440 E. Glenrosa Ave., Phoenix, AZ, 85014, although location is subject to change based on availability.
